The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Carpentry & Joinery Trainer to deliver high-quality vocational education to apprentices. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of skilled professionals in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach, train, and assess learners up to Level 3 in both classroom and workplace settings.
- Design and deliver a detailed, sequenced programme of learning to meet knowledge, skills, and behaviour requirements.
- Support learners in achieving their apprenticeship standards in a timely manner.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in line with institutional policies.
- Deliver curriculum content that is aligned with industry needs and standards.
- Ensure all learners receive consistent and high-quality instruction across multiple sites.
- Maintain up-to-date occupational experience and industry knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Assessor qualification (TAQA/A1 or equivalent) or commitment to obtain one.
- Industry relevant qualifications to a minimum of Level 3 (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
- Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the learning environment.
- Full current driving licence, use of a car, and business insurance.
- Enhanced DBS check.
Preferred
- Experience with vocational training and apprenticeship delivery.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of current trends and developments in the construction and joinery sectors.
