The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Carpentry & Joinery Trainer to deliver high-quality vocational education to apprentices. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of skilled professionals in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach, train, and assess learners up to Level 3 in both classroom and workplace settings.
  • Design and deliver a detailed, sequenced programme of learning to meet knowledge, skills, and behaviour requirements.
  • Support learners in achieving their apprenticeship standards in a timely manner.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in line with institutional policies.
  • Deliver curriculum content that is aligned with industry needs and standards.
  • Ensure all learners receive consistent and high-quality instruction across multiple sites.
  • Maintain up-to-date occupational experience and industry knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Assessor qualification (TAQA/A1 or equivalent) or commitment to obtain one.
  • Industry relevant qualifications to a minimum of Level 3 (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
  • Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the learning environment.
  • Full current driving licence, use of a car, and business insurance.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Preferred

  • Experience with vocational training and apprenticeship delivery.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in the construction and joinery sectors.
