The Opportunity:

As a Carpentry Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to learners at levels 1 and 2. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the future of aspiring carpenters while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical Carpentry lessons to learners at levels 1 and 2.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess coursework in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Track learner progress and provide individualised support to ensure success.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to course delivery and learner records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and learner outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Carpentry.
  • Support learners in developing the skills needed for progression into further education or employment.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 qualification in Carpentry or working towards it.
  • Some building site experience.
  • A teaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in delivering education or training.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching City & Guilds Carpentry courses.
  • Knowledge of assessment and learner tracking systems.
  • Experience with safeguarding and student welfare procedures.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently.
