The Opportunity:
As a Room Coordinator, you will manage the day-to-day running of the Direction Room, ensuring a calm and positive environment that promotes positive student behaviour. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student lives within a forward-thinking and supportive institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise students in the Direction Room, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Promote and enforce high standards of behaviour and discipline in line with school policies.
- Support the pastoral team in delivering consistent and effective student care.
- Liaise with teachers, students, and parents to address concerns and maintain open communication.
- Monitor and report on student attendance, punctuality, and behaviour on a regular basis.
- Assist in the organisation of pastoral events and activities that support student wellbeing.
- Provide guidance and support to students in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student behaviour and interventions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a pastoral or student support role within an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to promoting positive behaviour and student welfare.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role within a school or college environment.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and pastoral care practices.
- Experience working with young people and understanding of their needs.
- Familiarity with educational policies and procedures.
