The Opportunity:

As a Catering Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching in Level 1-3 Culinary Arts courses. This is a great opportunity to inspire the next generation of chefs and contribute to the success of students in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in Level 1-3 Catering and Culinary Arts courses.
  • Assess student progress and track achievement in line with college standards.
  • Administer course-related tasks, including documentation and reporting.
  • Support students in developing the skills needed for industry success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in the catering sector.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant industry experience in the catering sector.
  • An Assessors award or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in teaching or delivering training in a formal or informal setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver structured lessons effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Level 1-3 Catering courses.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard practices and equipment.
  • Experience in working within a Further Education setting.
  • Familiarity with assessment and tracking systems.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £24.09 - £37.69 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.
  • Fixed term contract to July 2026.
