The Opportunity:

As a Criminology, Psychology and Public Services Lecturer, you will shape the educational journeys of students and support their academic progress. This role is ideal for those passionate about teaching and committed to student success in an outstanding institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging curriculum content for BTEC and WJEC courses in Criminology, Psychology, and Public Services.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support academic progress.
  • Offer personalised guidance and support through one-to-one progress monitoring.
  • Contribute to enrichment activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and overnight residentials.
  • Develop and deliver course materials that align with industry standards and learner needs.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the fields of Criminology, Psychology, and Public Services.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree in Law, Criminology, or a related field.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Passion for Public Services, including Law & Criminology.
  • Commitment to student-centred teaching and learning.
  • Ability to contribute to enrichment activities and student support initiatives.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or delivering courses in Criminology, Psychology, or Public Services.
  • Experience with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award or similar enrichment programmes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in creating inclusive and supportive learning environments.
