The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Chemistry lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that align with the school's progressive approach to learning.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and individualized learning plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and integrate technology in the classroom.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Monitor and report on student performance, ensuring continuous improvement in academic outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing and achievement.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Chemistry and educational research.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry.
  • Proven experience in teaching Chemistry at the appropriate level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and across the school community.

Preferred

  • Experience with EdTech tools and digital learning resources.
  • Background in a co-educational or boarding school environment.
  • Experience in developing and leading extracurricular science activities.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum requirements.
