The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our thriving department and deliver inspiring lessons to students across KS3 to A Level. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Geography to students across Key Stages 3 to A Level, delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes critical thinking, geographical understanding, and real-world application.
- Support students in achieving their academic potential through personalized learning and effective assessment strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental development.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and lifelong learning.
- Engage in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching methods and resources.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that enhance student experience and school community.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students in accordance with the school’s safeguarding policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or willingness to complete full induction to QTS.
- Relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Experience in teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 to A Level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong academic and pastoral ethos.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology integration.
- Experience with inclusive education and supporting diverse student needs.
- Leadership experience or potential for future leadership roles.
