The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our thriving department and deliver inspiring lessons to students across KS3 to A Level. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Geography to students across Key Stages 3 to A Level, delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes critical thinking, geographical understanding, and real-world application.
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential through personalized learning and effective assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental development.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and lifelong learning.
  • Engage in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching methods and resources.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that enhance student experience and school community.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students in accordance with the school’s safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or willingness to complete full induction to QTS.
  • Relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Experience in teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 to A Level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong academic and pastoral ethos.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology integration.
  • Experience with inclusive education and supporting diverse student needs.
  • Leadership experience or potential for future leadership roles.
