The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality History lessons across KS3–5, ensuring engaging and challenging content.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote critical thinking and student engagement.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of extracurricular activities related to History.
• Support the academic and personal development of students through pastoral care and mentorship.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum and teaching methods.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
• Experience teaching History at Key Stages 3–5.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.

Preferred

• Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities.
• Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in education.
• Experience with inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
• Leadership experience or potential for future leadership roles.
