Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Psychology to A Level students, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.
  • Contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.
  • Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students where needed.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience of teaching in the UK education system.
  • Ability to teach Psychology to A Level standard.
  • Experience of teaching a second subject.

Preferred

  • Experience in a similar role within an independent or high-achieving school.
  • Experience with safeguarding and pastoral care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to contribute to co-curricular activities.
