The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Chemistry to students at GCSE and A Level.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Stay up to date with the latest pedagogical research and apply it effectively in the classroom.
- Support students in developing a deep understanding of complex scientific concepts.
- Collaborate with the Science Department to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum.
- Participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Work closely with experienced colleagues and departmental technicians to ensure the best possible student outcomes.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in Chemistry.
- Experience teaching Chemistry up to and including A Level.
- Demonstrable ability to inspire and engage students in the classroom.
- Strong subject knowledge and up-to-date with current teaching methods and curriculum requirements.
Preferred
- Experience with Edexcel GCSE and AQA A Level syllabi.
- Familiarity with modern science teaching techniques and resources.
- Experience in co-curricular or extra-curricular science activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
