The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated HR Administrator to join our dynamic team and support the HR Manager in delivering essential administrative functions. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their HR career within a forward-thinking institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including candidate communication and interview coordination.
  • Conduct safeguarding checks, such as references and DBS applications, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Maintain HR systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
  • Support the implementation of a new HR system as part of the school’s growth and development.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Assist with employee wellbeing initiatives and ensure confidentiality in all HR-related matters.
  • Collaborate with the Wellbeing & EDI Officer to support school-wide initiatives.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Professional and discreet with the ability to manage confidential information.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and administrative skills.
  • Experience in an HR or administrative role, ideally within an education setting.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including term time and during school holidays.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience with HR systems and databases.
  • Current studies or qualifications in HR or a related field.
  • Interest in developing a career in HR and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience with recruitment processes and candidate management.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on SCP Points 5–8 (£25,583.28 to £26,823.74 per annum).
