Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to GCSE and A Level students
  • Develop and implement evidence-based teaching strategies that promote student success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school
  • Support student progress through personalized feedback and assessment
  • Participate in a comprehensive professional development programme
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular science activities
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Monitor and report on student performance and achievement regularly

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in Secondary teaching
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching the National Curriculum of England
  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry, with experience of teaching to GCSE and A Level
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning
  • Experience working in a high-performing teaching team

Preferred

  • Experience with cognitive science-informed teaching practices
  • Familiarity with the British Schools Overseas (BSO) standards
  • Experience in a school with a strong extra-curricular programme
  • Leadership or coaching experience within a teaching team
  • Experience with evidence-based education initiatives
