The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join its Science faculty and inspire students to reach their full potential. This role offers the opportunity to teach up to Key Stage 5 and contribute to a vibrant co-curricular programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry to students across Key Stages 4 and 5 with a focus on academic excellence.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that encourage curiosity and independent thinking.
- Support students in achieving their academic goals through individualised guidance and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive Science curriculum.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme by leading or assisting in extracurricular activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Chemistry.
- Ability to teach Chemistry up to Key Stage 5.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement.
- Experience in working within a school environment.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Physics and/or Biology up to Key Stage 4.
- Experience with early career teacher support or mentorship.
- Familiarity with digital innovation and technology in education.
- Involvement in co-curricular or extracurricular activities.
