The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join its Science faculty and inspire students to reach their full potential. This role offers the opportunity to teach up to Key Stage 5 and contribute to a vibrant co-curricular programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry to students across Key Stages 4 and 5 with a focus on academic excellence.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that encourage curiosity and independent thinking.
  • Support students in achieving their academic goals through individualised guidance and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive Science curriculum.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme by leading or assisting in extracurricular activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Chemistry.
  • Ability to teach Chemistry up to Key Stage 5.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement.
  • Experience in working within a school environment.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Physics and/or Biology up to Key Stage 4.
  • Experience with early career teacher support or mentorship.
  • Familiarity with digital innovation and technology in education.
  • Involvement in co-curricular or extracurricular activities.
