Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to students across all key stages, including KS5.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department and the wider school to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Support the development of students’ scientific knowledge, skills, and curiosity.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and science-related events.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Chemistry and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Chemistry.
  • Experience teaching Science, with a specialism in Chemistry.
  • Ability to teach across the full age range, including KS5.
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a collaborative and supportive school environment.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving outstanding examination results.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Knowledge of science education and current trends in the subject.
