The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Economics Teacher to join a large and successful department that delivers high-quality education to students from KS4 through to A-level. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a department that consistently supports student progression and success in Economics and related university courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Economics lessons to students at both GCSE and A-level.
  • Develop and implement a rigorous and engaging Economics curriculum.
  • Support student progression and achievement through effective teaching and assessment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and improve departmental outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to departmental meetings and planning.
  • Stay up to date with current economic issues and incorporate them into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Economics.
  • Experience of teaching Economics at GCSE and A-level.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering a high-quality Economics curriculum.
  • Experience with data analysis and tracking student progress.
  • Experience of working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Leadership experience or experience of mentoring new teachers.
