The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a high-performing Science Department. This role offers the chance to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, while contributing to a collaborative and innovative teaching environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote academic rigor and practical learning.
- Contribute to the delivery of Science across the curriculum.
- Support students in developing a deep understanding of scientific concepts and skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science Department’s teaching and learning strategies.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular Science initiatives.
- Encourage student engagement, motivation, and achievement in Science.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver high-quality Science lessons.
- Commitment to student progress and academic success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Physics to GCSE level.
- Experience working in a high-performing school environment.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Ability to contribute to extracurricular Science activities.
