The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a high-performing Science Department. This role offers the chance to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, while contributing to a collaborative and innovative teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote academic rigor and practical learning.
  • Contribute to the delivery of Science across the curriculum.
  • Support students in developing a deep understanding of scientific concepts and skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science Department’s teaching and learning strategies.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular Science initiatives.
  • Encourage student engagement, motivation, and achievement in Science.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver high-quality Science lessons.
  • Commitment to student progress and academic success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Physics to GCSE level.
  • Experience working in a high-performing school environment.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular Science activities.
