The Opportunity:
As a Chemistry Teacher with TLR Opportunity, you will have the chance to inspire the next generation of scientists and deliver high-quality education across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. This role offers a supportive environment for both new and experienced teachers to grow and contribute to a dynamic Science Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons tailored to the needs of students aged 11 to 19.
- Foster curiosity and enthusiasm for science through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
- Support student progress by planning and preparing stimulating and challenging lessons.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science Department’s curriculum and teaching standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and improve teaching practices.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth.
- Monitor and assess student performance to ensure academic progress and achievement.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote science and education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher or suitable for newly qualified teachers.
- Strong knowledge of Chemistry concepts relevant to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
- Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills with students and colleagues.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Chemistry at secondary level.
- Experience with TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility) roles.
- Experience with exam preparation and assessment strategies.
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
