The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Teacher with TLR Opportunity, you will have the chance to inspire the next generation of scientists and deliver high-quality education across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. This role offers a supportive environment for both new and experienced teachers to grow and contribute to a dynamic Science Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons tailored to the needs of students aged 11 to 19.
  • Foster curiosity and enthusiasm for science through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
  • Support student progress by planning and preparing stimulating and challenging lessons.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science Department’s curriculum and teaching standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and improve teaching practices.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure academic progress and achievement.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote science and education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher or suitable for newly qualified teachers.
  • Strong knowledge of Chemistry concepts relevant to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication skills with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Chemistry at secondary level.
  • Experience with TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility) roles.
  • Experience with exam preparation and assessment strategies.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
