Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and support students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons using innovative teaching strategies
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to provide targeted feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students and staff
  • Stay up to date with new pedagogical research and incorporate it into teaching
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities
  • Support the school’s commitment to student achievement and well-being

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
  • Proven experience in teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons
  • Commitment to student progress and well-being
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE and A-Level Geography
  • Familiarity with new teaching technologies and pedagogical approaches
  • Experience in cross-Trust collaboration
  • Leadership or mentoring experience
  • Experience in curriculum development
