The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students aged 11 to 18.
- Support the implementation and review of attendance policies to ensure student engagement and success.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behavior to maintain an engaging and productive learning atmosphere.
- Build strong relationships with students and families to support attendance and academic progress.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and staff to enhance student outcomes.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching English at secondary level.
- Ability to manage a diverse range of students and maintain positive classroom behavior.
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to the school’s mission of providing the best education for all students.
Preferred
- Experience working with students across a range of ages and abilities.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and a track record of contributing to school improvement.
- Experience in delivering lessons that inspire and challenge students to achieve their potential.
- Previous involvement in attendance support or pastoral care roles.
