The Opportunity:

As an Operations Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of all operational functions within the academy. This is a rewarding position that supports the Operations Manager and contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement systems and procedures across the academy.
  • Support the day-to-day operations to ensure all functions run smoothly.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Yorkshire Cluster and United Learning.
  • Present operational proposals to senior internal collaborators in a clear and effective manner.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Adapt to a changing and diverse workload with resilience and autonomy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in operational services with a proven ability to manage and develop administrative functions.
  • Strong communication and team-building skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor colleagues effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to report effectively to a variety of audiences.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Experience with policy development and review.
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in relevant software.
  • Experience in a large organisation or multi-academy trust.
