The Opportunity:

A Childcare and Health Teacher is needed to inspire and guide students in early years, childcare, and health-related studies. This role offers the chance to deliver innovative lessons that bridge theory and real-world practice, preparing students for future careers or further education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and T Level qualifications.
  • Create engaging and interactive lessons that connect theory to practical application.
  • Support students in progressing to further study, apprenticeships, or employment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum content.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students to ensure their overall development.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in childcare and health education.
  • Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant teaching experience in childcare, health, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of early years and health education curricula.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive classroom environments.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering T Level qualifications.
  • Background in early years education or health sector training.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Experience in professional development and mentoring.
