Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Health and Social Care
  • Support learners in developing practical skills relevant to emergency and public services
  • Contribute to the development of a curriculum that bridges theory with real-world application
  • Stay up to date with current pedagogical practices and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Motivate and support learners at all levels to achieve their potential
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning experiences
  • Provide pastoral care and support to learners where appropriate
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS) or working towards gaining this
  • Experience in Uniformed Protective Services or relevant sector
  • Proven ability to motivate and engage learners
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Social Care curriculum and pedagogy
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within a sixth form or higher education setting
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in curriculum development or innovative teaching methods
