The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, personalized learning programmes tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Support students in developing communication, social interaction, and independence skills.
  • Work closely with parents, therapists, and other professionals to create and implement individual education plans.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the wider team.
  • Maintain a calm, welcoming, and purposeful classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of trust, honesty, and kindness within the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Early Years, Primary, or Special Needs settings.
  • Experience working with children with autism and complex needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to deliver personalized learning and support tailored to individual needs.

Preferred

  • Experience with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Experience in delivering structured and bespoke CPD programmes.
  • Background in teaching students with a range of learning needs.
  • Experience in a school following an EYFS/Primary model up to Year 13.
  • Experience in supporting students through transitions and preparing them for further education.
