The Opportunity:
As an IT and Computer Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning and inspiring the next generation of digital innovators. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Computing and lead the rollout of the Vocational ICT program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality Computer Science and IT lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Utilise innovative teaching methods and cutting-edge technology to enhance student learning.
- Support the implementation of the Vocational ICT program with full backing from the Subject Director.
- Provide instant, actionable feedback to students using AI-driven tools to reduce marking workload.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student success and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning.
- Stay up to date with curriculum developments and integrate new strategies to enhance student performance.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to grow as an educator and leader in the field.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in IT and Computer Science education.
- Strong understanding of curriculum developments in the subject area.
- Ability to use a range of teaching and learning strategies to ensure student success.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with the Vocational ICT qualification and KS3 curriculum.
- Familiarity with AI-driven marking systems and adaptive learning technologies.
- Leadership experience in a school or department setting.
- Experience in developing and leading new programs or initiatives.
