Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons that promote critical thinking and creativity.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver cross-curricular projects and initiatives.
- Support the school's Catholic ethos and values through teaching and pastoral care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to departmental planning.
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the learning experience.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, including drama, literature, and writing competitions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging and innovative lessons.
- Experience in assessing and supporting student learning.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Experience in delivering GCSE and A Level English courses.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and diversity initiatives.
