The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and proactive Teaching Assistant Key Stage 2 to join a small, dedicated team. This role supports pupils in accessing a broad and balanced curriculum, with a focus on English, Maths, and overall academic development. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about education and committed to helping girls reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Class Teachers in delivering a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist pupils in developing their academic skills through scaffolding and stretching techniques.
  • Contribute to planning and delivery of lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Work closely with Class Teachers to monitor and support pupil progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and growth.
  • Attend and participate in staff INSET training and team meetings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Provide individualised support to pupils where needed, in line with their learning needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong understanding of English Language, Literature, and Mathematics.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High expectations of pupil attainment, progress, and behaviour.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

Preferred

  • Enthusiasm for education and a passion for learning.
  • Experience in supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.
  • Creativity and ability to contribute to lesson planning and discussion.
  • Proactive attitude and a growth mindset.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
