The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Assistant to help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and safety across the school site. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that the school environment remains welcoming and supportive for all who use it.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard.
• Carry out carpet and upholstery cleaning in student, staff, and public areas.
• Remove stains, marks, graffiti, and scuffs from throughout the school site.
• Clean specialised toilet areas in student, staff, and public spaces.
• Perform duties in line with regular cleaning programmes, including moving furniture and fittings where required.
• Operate domestic and industrial cleaning materials and equipment safely.
• Follow and apply Health & Safety and COSHH regulations at all times.
• Support the wider site team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A strong commitment to cleanliness and attention to detail.
• The ability to work flexible hours, including split shifts and evenings.
• Experience in cleaning or a related field.
• A reliable and hardworking attitude.
• A willingness to follow Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.

Preferred

• Experience with school cleaning or in a similar environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A positive and proactive approach to work.
• The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
