The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Community Use Coordinator to ensure the safe and effective use of the school estate by external users. This role plays a vital part in maintaining security, health and safety, and providing excellent service to hirers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure all exterior school gates, All-Weather Pitch, and Sports Centre entrances.
  • Ensure all doors, windows, and school alarms are properly managed.
  • Switch off lights and other equipment when not in use.
  • Position and store netball posts correctly during and after hires.
  • Assist hirers in setting up equipment as required.
  • Address concerns or complaints from hirers in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Ensure premises are left in the same condition as prior to use.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Apply all academy and Trust policies consistently.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong attention to detail and a vigilant approach to security.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and policies effectively.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in event management.
  • Experience with school premises or facility management.
  • Familiarity with the use and maintenance of sports equipment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly rate of £12.21 or £14.21 depending on shift.
  • Casual contract with payment made on claim for approved hours.
