The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Psychology and Criminology Teacher to join our dynamic Sixth Form team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality A Level lessons, support curriculum development, and contribute to student success and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach A Level Psychology, fostering critical thinking and independent learning
- Contribute to the development and delivery of post-16 curriculum and provision
- Support students through form tutoring, including academic guidance, wellbeing, and career advice
- Monitor student progress through effective assessment and ensure strong outcomes
- Uphold the school’s ethos, safeguarding responsibilities, and high expectations for students
- Participate in the wider life of the Sixth Form and contribute to its culture and activities
- Assist in curriculum flexibility by teaching Sociology where required
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Psychology and Criminology
- Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a class effectively and deliver engaging lessons
- Experience in form tutoring and student support
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Sociology
- Background in curriculum development
- Experience with post-16 education and A Level teaching
- Familiarity with safeguarding and pastoral care responsibilities
