The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in A Level Computer Science (AQA) and BTEC IT to a motivated student cohort.
- Foster a learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and technical skill development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, support professional development, and enhance teaching practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and integrate relevant technologies and practices into the curriculum.
- Support students in achieving their academic goals and prepare them for further study or employment.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Computer Science and IT.
- Monitor student progress and provide individualised feedback to help students reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and community engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computer Science or IT.
- Experience teaching A Level Computer Science or BTEC IT, or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for the subject.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support shared goals.
Preferred
- Experience with industry-standard programming languages and software.
- Familiarity with teaching in a sixth-form setting.
- Experience with inclusive teaching practices and supporting diverse learners.
- Background in professional development or leadership within education.
