Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality lessons in A Level Computer Science (AQA) and BTEC IT to a motivated student cohort.
Foster a learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and technical skill development.
Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, support professional development, and enhance teaching practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and integrate relevant technologies and practices into the curriculum.
Support students in achieving their academic goals and prepare them for further study or employment.
Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Computer Science and IT.
Monitor student progress and provide individualised feedback to help students reach their full potential.
Contribute to the school’s commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and community engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computer Science or IT.
Experience teaching A Level Computer Science or BTEC IT, or equivalent qualifications.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Commitment to student success and a passion for the subject.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support shared goals.

Preferred

Experience with industry-standard programming languages and software.
Familiarity with teaching in a sixth-form setting.
Experience with inclusive teaching practices and supporting diverse learners.
Background in professional development or leadership within education.
