Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a high-quality Computer Science curriculum aligned with school and Trust priorities.
  • Lead and support a team of teachers to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Contribute to the school’s ethos and culture, promoting the virtues of compassion, humility, and service.
  • Participate in professional development and leadership training opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to implement school-wide initiatives and strategies.
  • Ensure that all teaching and learning activities align with the school’s vision and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computer Science.
  • Experience in a leadership or middle leadership role within education.
  • Strong classroom teaching experience with a proven track record of student achievement.
  • Ability to manage and develop a team of teachers effectively.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos, including a multi-faith and virtues-led approach.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership within a multi-academy trust.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and best practices in education.
  • Experience in promoting student wellbeing and behaviour management.
  • Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies that support diverse learners.
  • Experience in working within a faith-inspired educational environment.
