The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Computer Science Teacher to join its Secondary team in August 2026. This role offers the chance to shape the future of students in a dynamic and technology-driven field, while working with a highly motivated and curious cohort of learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach AS & A Level Computer Science (Cambridge International syllabus 9618) to Years 12 and 13 students.
  • Deliver iGCSE Computer Science (Cambridge International syllabus 0478) to Years 10 and 11.
  • Develop engaging and innovative lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote student understanding.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in Computer Science.
  • Collaborate with the Science and Technology department to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and school events, contributing to the broader life of the school.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Computer Science and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A PGCE (or equivalent full teaching qualification) and a degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience teaching iGCSE and A Level Computer Science.
  • Ability to work within a UK-based educational framework.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching within a UK or international school setting.
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching and student engagement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with the Cambridge International Examinations syllabus.
