The Opportunity:

As a STEM Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality STEM and Science education to Key Stage 3 students. This is an opportunity to be part of a school that is expanding its STEM provision and investing in the future of science education. The role may also include teaching Key Stage 3 Mathematics, depending on experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative STEM and Science lessons to Key Stage 3 students.
  • Support the development of a strong and growing STEM curriculum, including the use of VEX Robotics resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of science education and student learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme, including clubs and events.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, fostering curiosity, creativity, and a passion for science.
  • Participate in professional development and coaching programmes to support continuous growth and improvement.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A PGCE (or equivalent full teaching qualification) and a degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience teaching within a UK framework or similar international education system.
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching STEM subjects.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with VEX Robotics or other STEM-related extracurricular activities.
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on international education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to contribute to a broad and diverse co-curricular programme.
