The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Drama Teacher to join our Secondary team and inspire students through performance-based learning. This role offers the chance to shape young minds, nurture creativity, and contribute to a dynamic and collaborative teaching community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality KS3 and IGCSE Drama lessons using innovative and practical teaching methods.
  • Foster student confidence, creativity, and expressive communication through engaging performance-based activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of the arts department and co-curricular programme.
  • Participate in safeguarding and professional development initiatives.
  • Support student well-being and holistic development through extracurricular involvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Engage in continuous professional growth and leadership development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A full teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) and a degree in Drama or Theatre.
  • Proven experience teaching KS3 and IGCSE Drama within a UK curriculum framework.
  • Strong ability to engage students through practical, performance-based learning.
  • Commitment to working in a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Background in UK curriculum delivery.
  • Experience in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within an educational setting.
