The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Psychology Teacher to join its Secondary team in August 2026. This role involves teaching iGCSE and A Level Psychology, with a focus on developing students’ understanding and skills in the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach AS & A Level Psychology using the Cambridge International syllabus 9990.
  • Deliver iGCSE Psychology to Years 10 & 11 following the Cambridge syllabus 0266.
  • Develop engaging and innovative lesson plans that promote student learning and curiosity.
  • Support students in achieving academic success through effective teaching and assessment strategies.
  • Contribute to the broader life of the school through co-curricular activities and events.
  • Collaborate with the Humanities department to ensure a cohesive and high-quality curriculum.
  • Participate in professional development and coaching programmes to enhance teaching practice.
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A PGCE (or equivalent full teaching qualification) and a degree in Psychology.
  • Experience teaching iGCSE and A Level Psychology.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and working with children.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching within a UK framework.
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching and student engagement.
  • Experience with Cambridge International syllabi.
