The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Computer Science Teacher (Part-Time) to join our dynamic department and inspire the next generation of digital innovators. This role offers the chance to deliver engaging lessons that foster creativity, problem-solving, and technical expertise in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to GCSE and A-level students.
  • Develop and implement an innovative and engaging Computing curriculum.
  • Utilise physical computing technologies such as Raspberry Pi, LEGO, and Micro:bit to enhance student learning.
  • Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and resilience in students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve student outcomes and departmental performance.
  • Support students in developing cross-curricular STEAM skills.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Computer Science and digital technology.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and delivery of the curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in delivering Computer Science to GCSE level, ideally to A-level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in programming and digital technology.
  • Passion for Computer Science and a commitment to inspiring students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to departmental development.

Preferred

  • Experience with physical computing technologies such as Raspberry Pi, LEGO, and Micro:bit.
  • Experience in developing cross-curricular STEAM projects.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and digital learning tools.
  • Experience in a school environment with a strong pastoral and academic culture.
