The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physics Teacher and Key Stage 5 Subject Co-ordinator to join a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of Physics at Key Stage 5, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a robust curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision and educational goals.
- Support and mentor other Physics teachers, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching strategies and improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular links and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and achievement.
- Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and incorporate innovative teaching practices.
- Contribute to the school’s wider strategic goals and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Physics or a related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching Physics at Key Stage 5.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with experience in subject coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student welfare.
Preferred
- Experience in leading curriculum development or subject leadership roles.
- Familiarity with assessment and examination requirements at Key Stage 5.
- Experience with using technology in teaching and learning.
- A track record of improving student outcomes and engagement.
