The Opportunity:
As an Instructional Coach, you will play a key role in supporting teachers across the school, helping them to improve their instructional practice through coaching, professional development, and live rehearsal. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact on teaching quality and student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in developing and refining their instructional practice through one-to-one coaching and feedback.
- Deliver high-quality professional development sessions tailored to the needs of educators at all levels.
- Collaborate with school leaders to ensure consistent implementation of instructional principles across the school.
- Observe and provide constructive feedback on classroom practice, promoting continuous improvement.
- Work closely with early career teachers, helping them to build confidence and develop their skills.
- Share subject-specific expertise to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of school-wide initiatives aimed at improving teaching and learning.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of coaching and professional development on student achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in instructional coaching or a related educational role.
- Strong knowledge of effective teaching strategies and curriculum design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and support professional growth.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of teaching.
Preferred
- Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Familiarity with evidence-based instructional practices.
- Experience with teacher training or professional development delivery.
- Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple priorities effectively.
