The Opportunity:

As an Instructional Coach, you will play a key role in supporting teachers across the school, helping them to improve their instructional practice through coaching, professional development, and live rehearsal. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact on teaching quality and student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in developing and refining their instructional practice through one-to-one coaching and feedback.
  • Deliver high-quality professional development sessions tailored to the needs of educators at all levels.
  • Collaborate with school leaders to ensure consistent implementation of instructional principles across the school.
  • Observe and provide constructive feedback on classroom practice, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with early career teachers, helping them to build confidence and develop their skills.
  • Share subject-specific expertise to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of school-wide initiatives aimed at improving teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of coaching and professional development on student achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in instructional coaching or a related educational role.
  • Strong knowledge of effective teaching strategies and curriculum design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and support professional growth.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based instructional practices.
  • Experience with teacher training or professional development delivery.
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple priorities effectively.
