Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a year group to ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student behavior, attendance, and academic outcomes.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, ensuring their welfare and well-being are prioritized.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a cohesive and effective approach to student development.
- Deliver assemblies and speak to students and staff on key issues impacting the school community.
- Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing targeted support.
- Promote the school’s leadership programme and values across the year group.
- Support the school’s mission to inspire charitable and social action in students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
- Proven experience of working with young people in an education setting.
- Experience of providing pastoral support within an education setting.
- Strong organisational and technical skills with the ability to problem solve.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak in front of large groups of students and small groups of staff.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or management role within an educational setting.
- Knowledge of leadership development and character-building programmes.
- Experience of working in a school with a strong values-based mission.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
