The Opportunity:

As a Director of Learning - Computing and Creative Technologies, you will lead and deliver a dynamic curriculum that empowers students to excel in computing and creative technologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum in Computing and Creative Technologies that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Lead and support a team of teachers to raise standards and improve student achievement.
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning to ensure continuous improvement and outstanding outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate computing and creative technologies across the curriculum.
  • Promote innovation and creativity in teaching practices to engage and inspire students.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for colleagues to enhance teaching and leadership skills.
  • Ensure the effective use of resources and technology to support learning and teaching.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to align departmental goals with the school’s overall vision and strategy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a faculty effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in improving standards and raising student outcomes.
  • Strong organisational and motivational skills.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring colleagues to achieve targets.

Preferred

  • Experience in leadership roles within education.
  • Specialism in Computing, Design & Technology, or related fields.
  • Experience with innovation and creativity in teaching and learning.
  • Familiarity with leadership programmes and character development initiatives.
