Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and ambitious Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Teach Key Stage 3 English, contributing to strong literacy outcomes
  • Inspire students to develop confidence, creativity, and expression through performance
  • Promote a love of reading, writing, and spoken language
  • Deliver a curriculum that includes performance, devising, and theatre study
  • Support excellent rehearsal practice and creative collaboration
  • Contribute to a culture of high expectations aligned with the school’s values
  • Lead or support Drama clubs, productions, and performances

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Drama and Key Stage 3 English
  • Strong subject knowledge in performance, devising, and theatre
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching and improving outcomes for all learners
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
  • Experience in delivering high-quality curriculum and assessment

Preferred

  • Experience with theatre production or performance
  • Willingness to take on leadership roles in Performing Arts
  • Experience in form tutoring or pastoral care
  • Background in coaching or professional development
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
