The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a Teaching Assistant, supporting young learners in EYFS, KS1, and KS2. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on children's education and personal growth, while working in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times, following safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos through positive interactions and behaviour management.
  • Encourage language development and support phonics, reading, writing, and maths activities.
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs and monitor their progress.
  • Maintain an organised and stimulating classroom environment, including setting up and tidying resources.
  • Assist with the preparation and display of pupils’ work and classroom materials.
  • Supervise playtimes and support children during lunch and snack times.
  • Support after-school care and attend school events and meetings as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant EYFS Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications.
  • Previous experience working with children in the EYFS.
  • Phonics awareness.
  • Ability to create a calm and organised classroom environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
