The Opportunity:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning by stepping in when regular teachers are absent. This is a chance to make a real impact in a school that values the best in everyone and offers a supportive, dynamic environment for staff and students alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise student work and ensure learning objectives are clear and understood.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and engagement.
  • Support students with equality of access and encourage reflection on their learning.
  • Assist with break and lunchtime duties, invigilation, and in-class learning support.
  • Deliver lessons in the absence of the regular teacher with confidence and independence.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the school.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support the school’s mission of excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Confidence in delivering lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to support students and staff as needed.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or supervising in an educational setting.
