The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Receptionist Administrator to join a vibrant and fast-paced school environment. This role is central to the school’s daily operations and requires excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills. The ideal candidate will provide a welcoming and professional service to pupils, parents, and staff, while managing a variety of administrative tasks with efficiency and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and professional reception service to all visitors, pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Manage incoming calls and correspondence with a high standard of customer care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
  • Support the school’s administrative functions, including scheduling and coordinating meetings.
  • Assist with general office management and ensure a smooth running of the school office.
  • Handle a variety of tasks independently and under pressure, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless communication and support across the school.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a high-skilled, fast-paced administrative or reception role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong IT skills, including the use of office software and school management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in providing customer service to a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting, particularly within a school environment.
  • Familiarity with school operations and administrative procedures.
  • Previous experience with managing a busy reception desk.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
