The Opportunity:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that learning continues effectively when teachers are absent. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in a future in teaching and looking to make a positive impact on students aged 11–16.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide purposeful classroom supervision and support students while delivering work set by the class teacher.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Support students during lessons and remote learning sessions.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks and display work when not required to cover.
  • Invigilate examinations and tests as needed.
  • Undertake morning duty, including gate and canteen responsibilities.
  • Supervise after school activities, including homework clubs and detentions.
  • Attend required training and professional development sessions.

Required

  • Ability to relate to young people and understand their needs and concerns.
  • Capacity to reinforce positive behaviour in a firm yet appropriate manner.
  • Friendly, approachable, and caring personality with good communication skills.
  • Sensitivity to student welfare and the ability to report concerns when necessary.
  • Willingness to work as a team member and build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Reliability, trustworthiness, and the ability to complete tasks effectively.

Compensation & Benefits:
