The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Cover Teacher to support classes when staff are absent. This role is ideal for experienced educators who are adaptable and committed to delivering high-quality teaching in a supportive and welcoming school environment. Availability during the Summer Term 2026 is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
  • Supervise and support pupils in a well-behaved and respectful learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the individual needs of students.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.
  • Communicate regularly with the school leadership and teaching staff.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during lessons.
  • Support the school’s mission and values in all interactions with pupils and colleagues.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience.
  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Catholic or independent school setting.
  • Familiarity with the Josephite tradition or similar values.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Previous experience as a cover teacher or supply teacher.
