The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cross-Country Coach to inspire and develop young athletes. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student performance and confidence through high-quality coaching sessions and competitive fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and high-quality cross-country training sessions for both junior and senior students.
• Develop fundamental skills and fitness levels in students to support their sporting success.
• Accompany teams on cross-country fixtures and tournaments throughout the year.
• Ensure sessions are conducted safely and in line with best practice.
• Foster a positive and motivating environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with other staff and coaches to support student development.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
• Promote the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance within the sports program.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in coaching cross-country at a competitive level.
• Strong knowledge of training techniques and athlete development.
• Ability to work early mornings and be flexible with scheduling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the success and well-being of students.

Preferred

• Experience working with girls’ teams or in a school setting.
• Previous involvement in competitive cross-country events.
• Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications.
• Experience in delivering sessions to a range of age groups.
