The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of GCSE examinations. You will supervise students, maintain exam standards, and contribute to a calm and professional exam environment. No previous experience is required, as full training is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during examinations to ensure compliance with exam regulations
  • Maintain a calm, orderly, and distraction-free environment throughout exam sessions
  • Monitor student behavior and report any concerns or incidents promptly
  • Ensure all exam materials are handled securely and returned correctly
  • Follow all guidelines and procedures to uphold the integrity of the examination process
  • Communicate clearly with students and staff as required
  • Remain vigilant and focused throughout the duration of exams
  • Support the smooth running of the examination process in collaboration with other staff

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good communication skills with the ability to give clear instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused and vigilant
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations professionally

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational or supervisory role
  • Experience with GCSE or similar examinations
  • Understanding of exam procedures and regulations
  • Experience working with young people in a school setting
