The Opportunity:

As a Wellbeing Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, and mental wellbeing of students. This is a key position within a dedicated wellbeing team, offering the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people and help them thrive in school and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in overcoming personal challenges and developing emotional resilience.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to students to help them fully engage in school life.
  • Work collaboratively with the wellbeing team to deliver a consistent and supportive pastoral care programme.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student wellbeing and progress.
  • Deliver one-to-one and group support sessions tailored to student needs.
  • Promote positive relationships between students and staff.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of wellbeing-related activities and events.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive and compassionate approach to student support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a pastoral or wellbeing role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of mental health and wellbeing support strategies.
  • Experience with behaviour management and conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
