The Opportunity:

As a Sixth Form Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the Sixth Form and providing essential administrative support to students and staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sixth Form office.
  • Provide administrative support to students, staff, and visitors, acting as the first point of contact.
  • Supervise and manage the study and common room facilities to ensure a productive and welcoming environment.
  • Coordinate with the Sixth Form team, including Heads of Year, the Pastoral Manager, and the Head of Sixth Form.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage data using MS Office applications.
  • Assist with first aid duties, including attending training sessions as required.
  • Support the effective administration of the Sixth Form, including managing events and communications.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, and contribute to the overall success of the Sixth Form team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Confident user of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience working with students and staff in an educational setting.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative or supervisory role within a school or college.
  • Experience with first aid training or willingness to undertake it.
  • Knowledge of educational administration systems and processes.
  • Experience in managing student welfare and pastoral care.
